Tinubu mourns Emir of Ngazargamu passing

President Bola Tinubu has expressed grief over the death of the Emir of Ngazargamu in Yobe State, Alhaji Ahmad Tijjani Ibn Saleh.

The Ngazargamu Emirate Council announced the death of the monarch on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt, after a prolonged illness.

Tinubu, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the late emir as a father, mentor and custodian of tradition whose life was devoted to the service of his people and humanity.

“His Royal Highness embodied wisdom, humility, courage and unwavering dedication to his subjects,” the President said.
