Uba, Akpabio, Bamidele lead APC campaign council

The All Progressives Congress has announced plans to inaugurate its National Campaign Council for the Ekiti State governorship election, with Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani set to chair the council tasked with driving the party’s campaign and mobilisation efforts ahead of the poll.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced in a statement on Monday that the party’s National Campaign Council, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio serving as co-chairman, will be inaugurated on Wednesday in Abuja.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed June 20, 2026, for the conduct of the Ekiti State governorship election.

Morka said the inauguration marks a key step in the party’s efforts to commence statewide mobilisation in Ekiti ahead of the governorship election, with the aim of securing victory at the polls.
