Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended his condolences to former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, following the death of his mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.
Dame Amaechi died at the age of 89, a development that has drawn tributes from political leaders, associates and well-wishers across the country.
In a condolence message issued on behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, Fubara described the passing of the matriarch as a profound loss not only to the Amaechi family but also to the Catholic community, the people of Ubima in Ikwerre Local Government Area and Rivers State as a whole.
The governor’s message was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Onwuka Nzeshi.
