Former Anambra State Governor and presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, was spotted shopping at a branch of H-Medix Supermarket on Saturday.
Photos from the casual outing were shared on X by his former 2023 presidential campaign photographer, Esther Umoh.
Obi was seen browsing shelves, picking up personal items, and interacting warmly with staff and other shoppers.
Umoh described the visit as a reflection of Obi’s commitment to staying connected with ordinary Nigerians.
“By experiencing the same markets, prices, and economic conditions as everyone else, he gains a firsthand understanding of the challenges families face daily,” she wrote.
This is not the first time Obi has been seen engaging in everyday activities. Months earlier, he went viral for buying groundnuts at Utako Market in Abuja.
