Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, on Tuesday commissioned two road projects spanning 5.1 kilometres in Funtua as part of the state’s Urban Renewal Programme aimed at improving traffic flow, enhancing road safety and stimulating economic activities.
The projects include the reconstructed and dualised 3.9-kilometre Funtua–Katsina Road, completed at a cost of ₦5.8bn, and the upgraded 1.2-kilometre Tsohuwar Kasuwa Road, executed for ₦637m.
Speaking during the inauguration, Radda said sustained investment in infrastructure remained central to his administration’s strategy for economic growth and urban development.
He said, “Today, we are commissioning the reconstructed and dualised Funtua–Katsina Road, a strategic 3.9-kilometre corridor completed at a cost of ₦5.8 billion, and the rehabilitation and upgrading of the 1.2-kilometre Tsohuwar Kasuwa Road, executed at a cost of ₦637 million.
