The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old suspect and recovered a stolen 2016 Toyota Corolla Sport valued at approximately N18m.
Findings by PUNCH Metro on Tuesday revealed that the suspect is a cleaner at the Girei Cottage Hospital, where the vehicle owner, a serving member of the National Youth Service Corps, works as a medical doctor.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the command’s spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the suspect, Mohammed Dan-Azumi, was arrested in Kano State.
According to the statement, the breakthrough followed a report by the owner of the vehicle, who said he had entrusted it to the suspect for washing.
