The Presidency has described United States President Donald Trump’s commendation of President Bola Tinubu as further proof of the progress being recorded by the current administration.
Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communications, Daniel Bwala, stated this on Wednesday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, while reacting to Trump’s letter to Tinubu.
Trump’s letter, dated July 6, 2026, was made public on Wednesday after the Presidency released its details.
In it, the US President commended Tinubu’s “decisive leadership” in tackling terrorism and insecurity in Nigeria, particularly attacks on Christian communities, while reaffirming America’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s fight against terrorism.

Reacting to the letter, Bwala said the recognition from the US President offered additional evidence of the administration’s progress.
