RCCG overseer urges hope amid socio-economic hardship

The Continental Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Continent 3, Pastor Johnson Odesola, has said Nigeria can overcome its current challenges and reclaim its national destiny through sustained prayers, responsible leadership, improved security, and active citizens’ participation in the electoral process.

Speaking at the RCCG Destiny Encounter programme held in Lagos recently, Odesola urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country despite prevailing socio-economic and security challenges, insisting that prayer remains a powerful force for national transformation.

According to him, Nigeria’s situation would have been worse without the prayers of believers across the country.

He said, “I believe so much that if we have not been praying in this nation, things would have been worse.

“For human destiny to change, go to God through prayer. For a nation’s destiny to change, prayer is essential. We also need to speak where necessary, but respectfully.”
