Coordinator of the Internally Displaced Persons camp in Edo State, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho has urged well-meaning Nigerians to support the students in the facility who are seeking admission into universities and other higher institutions.
When South-South PUNCH visited the facility run by Home for the Needy in Uhogua, Benin City, Pastor Folorunsho noted that 127 students took the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with 40 (20 boys and 20 girls) already registered for the post UTME at the University of Benin.
He said students who chose other higher institutions would also have the chance to sit for the post UTME in due course, stating that the desire is to ensure that the IDPs get quality education that would enable them become useful to society in the near future.
