2027: Resort to Attacks Confirms Tinubu is Afraid of Election – APM

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has claimed that the Presidency’s repeated criticism of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, its 2027 presidential candidate, shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fearful of the upcoming election.  

  

 Reacting to recent comments by Presidential Spokesman Daniel Bwala, the opposition party said the constant attacks on Governor Makinde confirm that President Tinubu has lost the support of the majority of Nigerians.

In a statement on Thursday, APM National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Yusuf said the 2027 presidential race would pit Governor Makinde, backed by millions of Nigerians seeking a fresh start, against President Tinubu, who he claimed only enjoys “the feeble support of a handful of sycophantic and arrogant citizens.”

The party described the Presidency as intimidated by Makinde’s performance in Oyo State, saying the federal government lacks a tangible scorecard to present to Nigerians.
