Wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo has cried out over a fraudulent plan to gather women in Owerre Ezukala community of Orumba South Local Government Area under the guise of her visit to the community.
The wife of the governor in a press release by Senior Media Aide to the Governor of Anambra State, Mr Ezeigwe Daniel said she was not aware the reason for the deception, but warned women not to gather as the message which is being circulated on various Whatsapp group is fake.
The release read: “Our attention has been drawn to a message currently being circulated on certain WhatsApp groups claiming that Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, is scheduled to visit Owerre-Ezukala on an undisclosed date and calling on community members to gather at the Okegbe Health Centre to receive her.
“Members of the public, especially the people of Owerre-Ezukala, are advised to disregard the message in its entirety and refrain from forwarding or acting on unverified information.
“This information is completely false and did not originate from the Governor’s Wife or the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative.
“The Governor’s Wife’s activities and official engagements are communicated only through verified channels and authorized announcements.
“We urge everyone to verify information before sharing it to avoid spreading misinformation and causing unnecessary confusion or anxiety.”
