Nigeria remains Africa’s most attractive investment destination despite the current challenges, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has stated.
According to him, the country’s large market, youthful and technology-driven population, abundant natural resources and democratic stability are the key enablers for a preferred investment destination.
He stressed that transnational threats require shared intelligence, coordinated responses and deeper partnerships among governments, security institutions and communities across Africa.
He called for greater regional and continental cooperation to tackle emerging security challenges and promote peace, stability and prosperity across Africa, stressing that security, inclusive leadership and people-centred governance remain essential pillars for sustainable economic growth.
Governor Eno, who was represented at the event by his Deputy Governor, Akon Eyakenyi, received the prestigious African Leader in People-Centric Governance Award in Banjul, The Gambia.
