As Nigeria accelerates efforts to bridge its digital skills gap and build a globally competitive technology workforce, Aptech Nigeria is set to strengthen the country’s talent pipeline with its 2026 National Convocation, recognising graduates trained in technology and digital skills.
The convocation, scheduled for 8 August 2026, at the Sheraton Lagos, will bring together graduates, alumni, industry leaders, education partners, employers and other stakeholders under the theme, ‘One Milestone. Many Futures.’
According to a statement on Thursday, the event is expected to celebrate learners who have completed Aptech’s technology-focused programmes while highlighting the growing importance of industry-ready skills in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, multimedia, digital creativity and other emerging technology fields.
Nigeria’s expanding digital economy has increased demand for skilled professionals across sectors including financial services, telecommunications, healthcare, manufacturing and government, as organisations continue to adopt technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data-driven solutions.
