The Allied People’s Movement has described its presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, as the rallying point for Nigerians seeking a new Nigeria, saying his growing national acceptance reflects the people’s desire for credible and accountable leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
APM National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, said this in Abuja on Sunday, confirming that the party’s cross-party talks are yielding results as it builds a formidable opposition alliance ahead of the 2027 elections.
He stated, “APM’s cross-party talks are yielding results, making the platform the fastest-growing political alliance for opposition parties to present a formidable front to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress at the elections.
“Thousands of members of the PDP in Ekiti State and other citizens of the state gathered in Ado-Ekiti last Friday to reaffirm their adoption of Makinde and collaboration with the APM in the 2027 election
