
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has said his administration has fulfilled 90 per cent of the promises it made to the people of the state within three years in office.
The governor stated this on Saturday while receiving the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, who paid him a Sallah homage at the Government House, Kano.
The disclosure was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House Kano, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Yusuf said his administration had remained committed to delivering democratic dividends through people-oriented policies and developmental projects across key sectors of the economy.
According to him, significant progress has been recorded in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment and economic development.
The governor said the interventions were aimed at improving the living standards of residents and repositioning Kano State for sustainable growth.
“I am pleased to state that our administration has successfully fulfilled about 90 per cent of the promises we made to the people of Kano State within three years of assuming office,” he said.
“Our government came with a clear vision to improve the lives of our people, and Alhamdulillah, we have made remarkable progress in key sectors that directly affect the wellbeing of citizens,” he added.
Yusuf noted that his administration would not relent until all outstanding commitments were delivered.
