Laboratory scientists call for unity, peaceful co-existence in Nigeria

Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) has sued for the unity of the country and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of their religion. The group made the call during the just concluded Eid-el-Kabir.

Uche Odionyenma, national president of the association, made the call in a statement, while felicitating the Moslem faithful.

According to Odionyenma, “Eid-el-Adha, considered a festival of sacrifice, brings to mind the unwavering faith, obedience, and willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) in submitting to the will and dictate of Almighty Allah (SWT)”.

He noted that this season as always, called for sober reflections and embodiment of the virtues of sacrifice, charity, tolerance, and love for one another, regardless of tribe, religion or background.

“As your national president, I remain committed to ensuring unity and religious harmony in AMLSN as we strain every nerve to ensure our association takes its pride of place in the Nigeria Health System,” Odionyenma said.

He also enjoyed all Moslems to take advantage of the celebration to pray for the peace and progress of the association in particular and Nigeria in general, “while extending a hand of generosity to the less-privileged within your reach. And let’s remember to observe safety precautions as professionals and celebrate with the empathy of a humanitarian.

“May Allah grant you and your families good health, divine favour, prosperity and journey mercies,” Odionyenma.”
