As the general election 2027 draws nearer, political activities, especially in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), are picking up. Politicians are warming up to wrest power from the ruling party in some states, while in some states, the incumbent governors are planning to go to the Senate and hand over power to their successors within the same party. Ogun State is one of those states under the APC that is planning a political transition from the incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun and the anointed party candidate, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
