Oyo lawmaker pledges N50m for students’ legislative summit

A member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency in Oyo State, Adedeji Olajide, has pledged N50 million for the Youth Legislative Summit, promising to continue mentoring youths in his constituency and across the state.

He made the pledge during his induction into the University of Ibadan Students’ Union, held at Adeoyo Ring Road, Ibadan, the state capital, on Wednesday.

Olajide, who is the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement for the Oyo South Senatorial District in the 2027 election, commended the unity and development within the student body, saying more progress would be recorded if students were properly mentored.

The lawmaker described his new role as a challenge, stressing his readiness to deploy all his resources to prepare students in Oyo State and the University of Ibadan for a more competitive future.
