Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has nominated Dr Olufunke Omolara Tayo-Makanjuola for appointment as the Acting State Auditor-General, subject to confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The nomination was conveyed through Circular No. CIR/HOS/’26/052 dated July 28, 2026, issued by the Office of the Head of Service, according to a statement by the Lagos State Government.
The statement said the appointment takes effect from July 28, 2026.
Before her nomination, Tayo-Makanjuola served as the Head of Directorate, Government Accounts.
The statement read, “Before her nomination for the appointment, Dr. Tayo-Makanjuola served as the Head of Directorate, Government Accounts, where she distinguished herself through exceptional professionalism, integrity, and dedication to public financial management.”
