Osun SSG Released by Police After Raid

The Secretary to the Osun State Government, Teslim Igbalaiye, has been released by the Osun State Police Command following his arrest during a raid on his residence in Osogbo.

Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, announced the development on Thursday via his verified Facebook page, thanking the Inspector General of Police and the state Commissioner of Police for “listening to the voice of reason” and responding to public demand.

“The Nigerian Police Force best serves the nation when it stands against oppression and upholds justice and the rule of law. Welcome back, Chief Igbalaye Teslim. Your courage and sacrifice for the people of Osun State will not be forgotten,” Olajengbesi wrote.

Police spokesperson Abiodun Ojelabi also confirmed the release, noting that Igbalaiye and five others had been arrested during the raid. Officers reportedly recovered ₦4,810,500, two Permanent Voter Cards, a voter register, a Dynabook laptop, a photocopy machine, and a printer
