The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Nasarawa State in the 2027 elections, Senator Ahmed Wadada, on Thursday outlined what he called his five-point development agenda, HEART.
This was as he declared that Nigeria’s key macroeconomic indicators had improved significantly since May 2023.
Wadada addressed journalists after visiting President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
On the national economy, he said, “If the truth should and must be said, let us look at all the indicators. All the indicators that show economic growth and development of a system are all looking very glaringly promising and brighter than what they were.
“If you look at our foreign reserves, when he came in, it was below 28 and 56, $57bn in our foreign reserves. Look at the parallel market.
“All the windows have been closed and unified, which has greatly informed the stability of the naira against the dollar.”
