Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has revealed that she recently underwent major surgery, explaining that the procedure has kept her away from social media and slowed down her recovery more than she anticipated.
The “Rush” hitmaker shared the health update via her Instagram Story, apologising to her fans, popularly known as Mobstarrs, for her reduced online presence in recent days.
According to the singer, what she initially expected to be a quick recovery became more complicated after the surgery.
“Hey Mobstarrs,
I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping for a quick recovery, but it turned out to be more complicated than they expected. I need a bit of rest, and I’ll be back!!!”
