Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has approved the reinstatement of Dr. Surajo Abdullahi Shinkafi as the substantive Rector of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by Abubakar Mohammed, Permanent Secretary of Cabinet Affairs in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
The directive instructs Shinkafi to report to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and resume his duties immediately.
The statement did not reveal details of the review that led to his reinstatement.Dr. Shinkafi had been suspended on June 16, 2026, by the Zamfara State Government over allegations of misconduct and insubordination.
His return marks a reversal of that decision following the state’s reassessment of the matter.
