Review: Is Chopz & Grillz’s N13,000 ‘YOLO Box’ worth the hype?

It was just another Friday scroll through Instagram until an advert for free delivery stopped my thumb.

The page was Chopz & Grillz, and two things pulled me in immediately: free delivery to my location, and a listing called the YOLO Box. For N13,000, the box promised smoked jollof rice, AsunWang pasta, two smoked lamb chops, one smoked rib finger, one smoked chicken cut and an in house mocktail. I did not think twice. I sent my address and phone number and waited.

The food arrived well packaged. The rice and pasta each came in their own small container, which meant nothing sat soggy in the other by the time I opened the box.

Taste wise, the pasta was fine. Not memorable, not bad, just fine. The rice needed more time on the fire. It still had a firmness to it that told me it had not fully cooked through.
