Police arraign suspected vehicle battery thief in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arraigned a 29-year-old man, Oshim Daniel, before an Enugu State Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing vehicle batteries and other valuables from residents of Alulu-Nike community in Enugu State.

The command disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday by its spokesperson, SP Daniel Ndukwe, saying the suspect was remanded in a correctional custodial centre pending the hearing and determination of the case.

According to the statement, operatives attached to the Abakpa Police Division rescued the suspect from an angry mob on July 29 after he was allegedly caught stealing vehicle batteries and other valuables from residents a day earlier.
