Oyo APC Reacts to Abduction of Ex-Minister Adelabu’s Sister, Twin Sons

The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the abduction of Mrs. Busayo Adelabu John-Paul, sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, describing the incident as a troubling indication of worsening insecurity in the state.

The party called on Governor Seyi Makinde to intensify collaboration with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to curb the rising cases of kidnappings and restore public confidence in Oyo State’s security system.

Mrs. John-Paul was reportedly abducted on Wednesday morning in the Elewura–Challenge area of Ibadan by unidentified gunmen.

According to reports, the attackers trailed the victims’ vehicle from their residence before intercepting it around 7:30 a.m. and whisking them away.

In a statement issued in Ibadan by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, the APC expressed concern that the latest incident adds to growing insecurity fears in the state.
