The Lagos State Government will commence its 2026 Capacity Building Workshop for officers in the Unified Local Government Service on Monday, as part of efforts to strengthen public service delivery and improve governance at the grassroots.
The intensive training programme, organised by the Lagos State Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, is scheduled to run from August 3 to September 15, 2026, at the Office of Local Government Establishments and Training School.
According to the state government, the workshop is designed for officers in the senior and management cadres of the Unified Local Government Service, with a focus on enhancing professional competence, leadership capacity, technical expertise and managerial skills.
A statement issued on Sunday noted that the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Office of Local Government Establishments and Training, Ms Toyin Ogunlana, announced the commencement of the programme.
