The Abia State Government and the Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command, on Saturday organised a grand send-off ceremony in honour of the former Commissioner of Police in the state, now Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Danladi Isa, following his promotion and redeployment to the Force Criminal Investigation Department.
The event, held in Umuahia, attracted top government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, members of the Police Community Relations Committee, Police Officers’ Wives Association and other stakeholders who paid glowing tributes to the outgoing Abia police chief.
Representing Governor Alex Otti, the Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, described Isa as a disciplined, dedicated and result-oriented police officer whose collaboration with the state government contributed significantly to making Abia one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states.
He said the administration enjoyed tremendous cooperation from the police under AIG Isa’s leadership, adding that “the state’s remarkable security and development achievements were made possible
