
The curtain may have fallen on the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, but English football’s top flight is heading straight into one of its busiest off-seasons in recent memory, with a FIFA World Cup, transfer activity, fixture announcements and European competitions all packed into a hectic summer schedule.
An update retrieved from the EPL website by our correspondent on Wednesday revealed this.
The transition to the 2026/27 season will officially begin in early June with the Premier League’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), where newly promoted Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City will formally take their places among the elite.
The trio replace Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley and West Ham United, who dropped out of the division following relegation.
Attention will then shift to North America as the FIFA World Cup gets underway on 11 June across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The expanded 48-team tournament will run until 19 July,
