Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia on Wednesday approved the appointment of Eunice Ogbenyi as the acting Head of Service of the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Tersoo Kula, and in Makurdi, the state capital.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the appointment followed the death of the former HoS, Agbogbo Ode, who served in the position from 2023 to 2026.
Ogbenyi, who hails from Oju Local Government Area, was born on June 12, 1973.
Before her appointment, she served as Permanent Secretary in the Benue State Ministry of Lands and Survey.
She obtained a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics/Physics from College of Education Oju in 1996 and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2005, a Master’s degree in 2010, and a Ph.D. in 2021 in Mathematics Education from Father Moses Orshio Adasu University.
