Edo dep gov urges youths to shun vices, embrace right values

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, on Sunday urged young people to shun social vices and adopt responsible elders as role models, saying doing so would enable them to make meaningful contributions to society.

He made the call at the Youth Harvest and Thanksgiving of St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin City.

He said the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo was committed to providing a conducive environment for both human and economic development in the state.

Idahosa, who was accompanied to the event by prominent politicians, including the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Omosede Igbinedion; a former member representing Oredo Federal Constituency, Razaq Bello-Osagie; and serving commissioners, said young people must channel their energies positively for the benefit of society.

Idahosa said the theme, “Harvest of Abundance: Favour Without Limits,” was a timely reminder of God’s favour.
