Three former lawmakers in the Osun State House of Assembly have resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The chieftains , Lekan Oyediran, Aleem Bakare, and Folorunso Oladoyin submitted their resignation letters to the local government chairmen of the party between June 1 and 2, 2026.
While Aleem Bakare cited a lack of internal democracy as his reason for leaving, the other two did not state any specific reasons in their resignation letters.
Oyediran represented Odo Otin State Constituency between 1999 and 2003, Bakare represented Ejigbo State Constituency from 2003 to 2007, and Oladoyin represented Ife South State Constituency from 2011 to 2019.
Oladoyin later served as Commissioner for Education under former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, while Bakare was Special Adviser to the governor on Land Matters.
