Firm recycles 858 tonnes of plastic waste in 2025

Rite Foods says it recovered and removed more than 858.2 tonnes of plastic waste from the environment in 2025 through its partnership with the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance, supporting circular economy initiatives and marine conservation.

The firm disclosed this in its 2025 Sustainability Report obtained by The PUNCH last week.

The report added that as climate change presents growing risks to business continuity and societal well-being, the firm remains committed to responsible environmental stewardship.

The report also stressed that within the period under review, the company recorded an estimated seven per cent reduction in emissions intensity compared to the previous reporting year, driven by improved energy efficiency and operational optimisation.
