…Unveils agenda to strengthen healthcare, doctors’ welfare
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Borno State chapter, has urged the government to scale up operations to address the insecurity that has prevented health workers from serving rural communities due to safety concerns.
Kaka Gazali, the newly elected chairman of NMA Borno State, stated this while unveiling an agenda aimed at improving doctors’ welfare and strengthening healthcare service delivery across the state.
Speaking in Maiduguri, Gazali highlighted that advocating for better pay and improved working conditions to encourage doctors to remain in the profession is a top priority in his pursuit.
He noted that healthcare workers should be able to work in safe and dignified conditions while patients receive better service delivery.
