…Threatens legal action
A group, the Morufu Tosin Ibrahim Campaign organisation, has criticised what it termed unlawful disqualification of some All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in Ondo North Senatorial District including its candidate, Morufu Tosin Ibrahim.
According to the organisation, the aspirants were screened and cleared by APC House of Representatives Screening Committee for the Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency.
The campaign organisation in a statement signed by Femi Elegbeleye, maintained that Morufu Tosin Ibrahim fulfilled all the requirements stipulated by the party for participation in the primary election, including the purchase of the nomination form, submission of the required documents and participation in the screening exercise.
The organisation noted that the official screening report indicates that Morufu Tosin Ibrahim was among the aspirants cleared to participate in the primary election, and that no petition or adverse report was communicated to him prior to the subsequent disqualification.
