Four PAP-sponsored scholars graduate with distinction in UK, 16 earn master’s degrees

Four beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme’s offshore scholarship scheme have graduated with distinction, while 16 scholars successfully earned master’s degrees from universities in the United Kingdom, in what the agency described as further evidence of the programme’s investment in human capital development in the Niger Delta.

PAP, in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the PAP Administrator, Igoniko Oduma, disclosed on Monday that the four distinction graduates are Nina Orubebe (Financial Management), Tonbra Tonlagha (International Hospitality and Tourism), Kemien Egbekun (Law), and Simon Douye (Construction Engineering Management).

The 16 graduates completed postgraduate programmes in disciplines including software engineering, oil and gas, data science and engineering, financial management, law, construction engineering management and global public health.

According to the programme, the beneficiaries graduated from institutions in the United Kingdom and the United States, including Carnegie Mellon University, Coventry University, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Dundee, Anglia Ruskin
