Protest as Court Remands Hammed Tajudeen for Another 10 Days

Supporters of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, popularly known as Hammed Ajiran, staged a protest at a Lagos Magistrate Court on Thursday, June 4, 2026, after the court ordered his remand for an additional 10 days due to the delayed legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP). 

A Lagos State Magistrate Court in Ogba, presided over by Justice L. A. Owolabi, extended the remand of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi following the DPP’s failure to provide its legal advice as previously directed. 

Hammed Akanbi was first arraigned on May 22, 2026, on multiple charges including conspiracy to commit murder, membership of an unlawful society, threat of violence, assault, and other related offenses. He pleaded not guilty to all counts.
