
Concerned stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress have unanimously rejected the outcome of the party’s governorship primaries conducted on Friday, May 22, 2026.
The stakeholders comprising party executives, youth leaders, women leaders, local government officers, ward representatives, members, and supporters across the 33 local government areas of the state emphatically maintained that the former Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Governor, Chief Bisi Ilaka, won the primaries.
They said the announced election results were not a reflection of the collective decisions and true wishes of members of the party.
Reading from a communiqué on behalf of party faithful on Wednesday, ADC leader in Saki-West Local Government Area of the state, Barshir Lawal, called for a review of the declared results and restoration of the mandate they gave to Ilaka.
