Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Eti-Osa Constituency I have appealed to President Bola Tinubu and the party’s national leadership to intervene in what they described as efforts to overturn the outcome of the constituency’s House of Assembly primary election.

The appeal was made on Thursday by a coalition of party leaders, traditional institutions, youth and women groups, community organisations and residents, who insisted that the incumbent lawmaker, Noheem Adams, won the primaries by a decisive margin and should be recognised as the party’s candidate.

Addressing a press conference, the leader of the group, Alhaji Owolabi Yisa, called on Tinubu, APC national leaders and the Lagos State APC chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, to ensure that the outcome of the primaries was respected.

According to the stakeholders, Adams secured 7,638 votes across the constituency, while his closest challenger, Saheed Bankole, polled 1,225 votes, giving the incumbent a margin of 6,413 votes.
