A five-day capacity building workshop for17 local government area divisional commands and head of departments of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State Command, has ended with a renewed call for personnel to equip themselves with modern security practice, skills and knowledge needed to thrive in their profession.
The workshop with the theme, ‘Technological Advancement in Security Management, Intelligence, Investigation, Prosecution, Threat Communication Networks’, also featured rules of engagement and weapon handling.
At the workshop organised by the State NSCDC in conjunction with the Abia State Government, the governor, Alex Otti said the integration of modern technologies in security management advancement has become not merely desirable but indispensable in addressing critical gaps affecting security mechanism and surveillance.
