Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt in Byazhin, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council, Abuja, following a prolonged exchange of gunfire with armed bandits.

Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed in a statement that the attack occurred around 12:34 a.m. on Friday.

Acting on credible intelligence, officers from the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit were swiftly deployed to the scene, where they encountered suspects attempting to break into a residence.
