The newly elected President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria, Chukwudi Dimkpa, has unveiled an ambitious roadmap aimed at repositioning Nigerian karate for sustained growth, unity and international success.
In his inaugural message, Dimkpa outlined immediate priorities, including convening the first meeting of the new board to set the federation’s strategic direction and reuniting the Nigerian karate family through constructive engagement with all stakeholders.
As part of his vision, the federation will immediately commence preparations for Nigeria’s participation in the forthcoming Japanese Ambassadors Cup, UFAK Championships and other international competitions, while establishing a sustainable athlete development pathway from grassroots to elite level.
The new president also pledged to strengthen the capacity of coaches, referees and technical officials through continuous education and certification programmes to ensure Nigeria remains competitive on the continental and global stage.
