Ajibola Bashiru, national secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the August 15 Osun State governorship election as a defining moment for the state’s future, urging party members to intensify mobilisation and work for the victory of the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
Bashiru made the call during a high-level strategic meeting of the party held at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja ahead of the election, according to a statement he personally signed on Tuesday.
He charged party leaders in Osun to remain united, strengthen grassroots mobilisation and sustain a vigorous campaign across all local government areas and wards to secure victory at the polls.
The APC scribe also urged members and supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding and committed to democratic values, while encouraging eligible voters to participate actively in the election.
