
The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Friday, called for more patience over the ongoing efforts to rescue teachers and pupils abducted in Yawota and Ahoro-Esinele communities in Oriire Local Government Area of the state, noting that all hands have been on deck towards bringing the abductees back safely.
The governor stated this while receiving a delegation of the Nigerian Air Force led by the Air Officer Commanding, Logistics Command, Abubakar Suleh, which paid him a courtesy visit at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Agodi in Ibadan.
Makinde, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju in Ibadan, the state capital, appreciated the Air Force for its support since the incident occurred, on Friday, May 15, 2026.
