Soliders arrest arms courier, recover ammunition in N’West operations

The troops of Joint Task Force (North West), Operation Fansan Yamma, have recorded significant operational successes in separate operations conducted across the North-West theatre.

The operations resulted in the arrest of a suspected arms courier who was in possession of a large cache of ammunition.

Similarly, a large number of rustled cattle were successfully recovered.

This was contained in a statement signed by the media information officer of the Joint Task Force, Operation Fansan Yamma, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, and made available to newsmen on Friday.

Danja said that on June 5, 2026, troops of Sector 2 OPFY deployed at a checkpoint in Kaura Namoda intercepted a civilian vehicle travelling towards Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
