Six-time Bundesliga champions Hamburg are weighing up a move for Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi after the Nigerian was frozen out by French club OGC Nice ahead of the new season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
According to German newspaper Hamburger Abendblatt, the newly promoted Bundesliga side have identified Moffi as a potential attacking reinforcement, with the Nigerian expected to decide on his future later this week.
The 27-year-old has reportedly been told to train away from Nice’s first-team squad and was omitted from the club’s squad for their recent pre-season friendly against Juventus, further fuelling speculation that his time on the French Riviera is coming to an end.
Moffi enters the final year of his contract with Nice, making him an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced striker at a reduced transfer fee.
