
A fresh police investigation has uncovered how a suspected kidnapping syndicate allegedly operated from a hotel in the Bucknor area of Lagos while planning a series of abductions across parts of the state.
The discovery came after operatives of the Lagos State Police Command foiled an attempted kidnap at Jakande Estate Gate and killed four suspected members of the gang during a gun battle.
The operation has now exposed what investigators described as a well-organised network that used a hotel room as its planning centre.
According to police findings, the suspects checked into the hotel like regular guests and avoided attracting attention. They reportedly paid for their stay, moved around quietly and blended into the environment.
Unknown to workers and other visitors, detectives believe the gang was using the location to monitor potential victims and coordinate operations in Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa, Okota and nearby communities.
