2027: Obi, Kwankwaso Hold Talks with Dickson as OK Movement Leadership Crisis Deepens

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his running mate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso met with the party’s national leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, against the backdrop of a major leadership crisis within the OK Movement.

The OK Movement, a coalition of the Kwankwasiyya and Obidient groups formed to mobilise support for the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket has recently been hit by serious internal divisions, with rival factions emerging. 

Supporters of the joint ticket have expressed concern over the developments as the 2027 general elections approach.

Dickson confirmed the meeting in a post on his official Facebook page, noting that it took place at his Abuja residence. 

He said the discussions centred on “the positive state of affairs of our party and to prepare for the forthcoming campaigns, which are expected to commence later this month.”
