
The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in Abia State, Doris Ogala, has been hospitalised after she reportedly collapsed during a political consultation in the state.
The actress-turned-politician disclosed the development on Friday night, revealing that she was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, after losing consciousness.
She, however, assured her supporters that her condition had improved following medical attention.
In a message shared on her social media page, she said, “I was rushed to FMC Umuahia. I lost consciousness. Glory to God, I am stabilised now.”
The incident has generated concern among her supporters and members of her political camp, coming at a time when preparations for the next governorship election in Abia State are gathering momentum.
