Family members of the Emir of Yashikira Emirate in Kwara State, Alhaji Umar Seriki Usman, who were abducted by kidnappers, have regained their freedom and returned home safely.
The Emirate announced the development in a statement posted on its official page on Thursday night.
The statement read in part; “ALHAMDULILAH ROBIL ALAMIN. Yashikira Emirate is pleased to announce the freedom of the Royal Family Members from the Kidnappers den, they are all back safe.”
The Emirate expressed gratitude to God and to the Baatombu Nation for their prayers and support during the period of captivity.
“HRH. Alhaji Umar Sariki Usman and the entire Yashikiru Emirate have given thanks Allah and all Baatombu Nationwide for their prayers and support during these hard times,” the statement added.
The post was accompanied by a photo of the Emir, Alhaji Umar Sariki Usman, dressed in royal blue attire.
